Land Navigation Evaluation and Training

A Land Navigation Evaluation has been set up for the morning of May 10th at 0800 in the Kingman area. The map will be named "5/10 Land Nav" and made available the day prior in the team account.

The Land Navigation Evaluation requires the use of triangulation on a paper map, and then locating 3 clues and properly marking them in SARTopo. Triangulation error will be the size of a pencil eraser head (0.300 inches) and all documentation in SARTopo must meet Agency standards (includes recording track, marking clues, and attaching photos of the clues).

For those not ready to complete the evaluation, training on triangulation will be available at 9am at the same location.

Please learn how to use your tools prior to attending the training. PowerPoint slides are available on the SAR website.
